This suit was instituted by Mary H. Hathaway Davis, the appellant, to recover the proceeds of two insurance policies for the sum of $15,000 and $10,000, respectively, which were issued on the 6th day of April, 1923, by the New York Life Insurance Company, upon the life of Charles E.
