It has been contended upon the part of the plaintiff that since the decisions in the case of Washington v. Oregon, supra, there have been such changes in the river at this point that the north channel is now south of Sand Island; that the island, while maintaining at all intermediate times its identity, somewhat like a raft has, by the withdrawal of the waters from the north to the south channel, been moved north and across the north channel...
