This is a suit by certain taxpayers to restrain the city of Detroit from collecting a special assessment levied against land of the plaintiffs in said city, on the grounds that said assessment was arbitrary and illegal and that unless enjoined it would deprive the plaintiffs of property without due process of law, in violation of the Fourteenth Amendment to the United States Constitution.
