In the spring of 1920 there existed four oil corporations, to wit, the Ranger Refining Company, the Gate City Oil Company, the Steiner Oil Company, and the Steiner Oil Corporation, engaged variously in the production, refining, and marketing of oil in Texas and Missouri.
