The plaintiff in this case seeks to recover $300,964.08, with interest, which it claims to be due it as a refund upon taxes paid for the year 1917.

The contention of the plaintiff is that during that year it was affiliated with another corporation, the Brazil Railway Company, and it is conceded that if it was so affiliated within the meaning of the revenue laws, it is entitled to the refund.
