This action is based on an insurance policy issued by the appellant, defendant in the lower court, on the life of Sylvester Butler, husband of plaintiff. The policy contains the following, among other, provisions: "This policy, if not previously surrendered, may be reinstated at any time after date of default, upon written application therefor accompanied by evidence of insurability satisfactory to the company, and upon the payment of all arrears...
