On January 4, 1928, C. D. Freeman executed to the appellee, Vernor Hall, an instrument purporting to be a general assignment for the benefit of the former's creditors. On January 11, 1928, C. D. Freeman was adjudged a bankrupt under an involuntary petition filed on January 10, 1928, and a trustee of the bankrupt's estate was appointed.
