The appellant was indicted, tried, and convicted in the lower court of the crime of murder in the first degree by purposely and with deliberate and premeditated malice causing the death of one Elsie R. Bowen by means of gunshot wounds. Sentence of death was imposed upon him, and this is an appeal from that judgment.
