In 1918 appellee enlisted in the Navy of the United States, and there was issued a war risk insurance certificate in the sum of $10,000, which provided that, in the event appellee became totally and permanently disabled while that certificate was in effect, appellant would pay to appellee $57.50 per month so long as such disability continued to be of a total and permanent nature.
