This is a suit arising out of a collision between the pilot boat Philadelphia, owned by the defendant, and the submarine L-1, a vessel of the United States Navy. The collision occurred at about 2:50 a. m. on the morning of February 2, 1921, in the inland waters of Delaware Bay, at a point about four miles in a northwesterly direction from the Overfalls lightship; weather, clear; sky, over-cast; wind, northeast; tide, flood.
