On June 27, 1923, the appellant entered into a written contract with the appellee, under the terms of which the latter agreed to sell, and the former agreed to buy, 2,000 shares of the preferred capital stock of the Dollar Portland Lumber Company, a corporation. The agreed purchase price was $200,000, "payable in four (4) annual installments of fifty thousand dollars ($50,000) each, on the first days of May, in each of the years 1924 to 1927...
