William Cook was indicted, tried, convicted, and sentenced for the offense of conspiracy to violate the National Prohibition Act. 27 USCA. The indictment charged that Jasper Cox and William Cook conspired with Charlie Jimerson to manufacture, transport, and sell intoxicating liquor, to wit, whisky, contrary to the National Prohibition Act.
