The indictment was in six counts, of which the first three charged the defendants with having in their possession a still not registered with the collector of internal revenue, one count covering each of three separate stills. The jury brought in a verdict of not guilty on the fourth and fifth counts, but convicted on the first, second, third, and sixth; the last being for the maintenance of a nuisance under the National Prohibition Act. 27...
