DENISON, Circuit Judge.

As a private in the army, Rayfield Woolen, in October, 1918, received a certificate in the usual form for $10,000 war risk insurance, payable in case of his death in monthly installments of $57.50 until the principal sum, with certain interest and additions, was exhausted. His mother, Betty Woolen, was by his application designated as beneficiary. He died March 26, 1919. His mother having later died, this suit was brought in the court below...
