The appellants operated a ferry across the Mississippi river between Cottonwood Point, Mo., and the Tennessee shore. F. H. Shepard and I. L. Shepard owned the motorboat J. J. Finley and a barge towed by it. J. M. Taylor and E. M. Huffman owned the motorboat Louise and a barge towed by it.
