This is an appeal from a judgment of the Supreme Court of Porto Rico in favor of the plaintiff, the appellee, in an action of unlawful detainer brought by him against the defendant, the appellant, to recover the possession of certain property leased by the former to the latter. The action was brought in the District Court of San Juan.

In the declaration it was alleged:
