This appeal is to review the action of the Supreme Court of the District of Columbia, wherein a writ of mandamus was issued requiring appellants, defendants below, to execute and issue a relinquishment and quitclaim to certain forest reserve lands conveyed to the United States in consideration of the right to make a lieu land selection.

This case was here on a former appeal, Peale v. Davis et al., 57 App. D. C. 221,
