The appellant, as plaintiff below, brought suit against the appellee, as defendant, seeking to recover upon four certain promissory notes, bearing various dates, all executed by the defendant, made payable to the order of himself, and indorsed by him in blank, and in turn also indorsed in blank by the Terminal Commercial & Savings Bank. The defendant filed a plea admitting the execution of the notes, but averring that they were executed...
