Appellants filed this suit against the appellee claiming infringement of United States letters patents Nos. 1,144,318, 1,240,169 and 1,308,979, issued to Jasper Blackburn, covering improvements in cable hangers. The defense was noninfringement and also invalidity as to the second and third patents, if the claims relied on by plaintiffs were given the construction for which they contended.
