JOHNSON, Circuit Judge.

This is one of four actions brought originally by James E. Farrell as receiver of the First National Bank of Warren, Mass., to enforce double liability imposed upon stockholders in national banking associations by section 23 of the federal Act of December 23, 1913, 38 Stat. 273 (Compiled Stat. 1916, § 9689). Owing to the resignation of the original plaintiff, J. M. Porter was substituted as receiver.
