This is an appeal from a decree adjudging United States letters patent No. 1,183,694, issued to Balthasar Sutter, to be valid and infringed.

The defendant has brought the case here for review on fourteen assignments of error; but they all relate to two main questions: Validity and infringement. The defendant filed a counterclaim which the court dismissed; but his action in so doing is not before us, for it has not been made the subject...
