On February 24, 1924, the Cuban sailing vessel, G. H. Murray, was towed into Norfolk harbor in distress by the British steamer Ceuta, and claimed and was granted the status of a vessel in distress. On February 26, 2 days later, the customs officials of the port gave the boat permission to remain in port 20 days to make repairs.
