PARKER, Circuit Judge.

This was a suit under the Tucker Act (24 Stat. 505), brought by the Seaboard Air Line Railway Company, to recover a balance of $505.56, admittedly due, from the United States for services rendered in the carriage of goods in the year 1922. The answer of the United States pleaded by way of counterclaim or set-off that the railway company owed it a similar amount for the loss in September, 1917, during transportation, of 10 boxes of army slickers...
