On October 20, 1924, the Plymouth Oil Company, a corporation, issued to J. G. Farquhar its 19 certificates of stock, Nos. 427-446, aggregating 50,000 shares of its common stock. Such certificates provided they were "transferable * * * on the books of the company * * * by attorney upon surrender of this certificate properly indorsed."
