This is an appeal in admiralty by the South American Metal Company, charterer of the motor vessel Theodore Roosevelt, and cross-appeal by the master and owner of the vessel. The vessel was chartered to transport a cargo of 9,500 tons of coal, more or less, from Norfolk, Va., to two ports on the coast of Chile, Iquique and Antofagasta.
