The libel in rem against the British auxiliary schooner Pesaquid is for penalties under Revised Statutes, § 3450 (Comp. St. § 6352) and section 584, title 4, of the Tariff Act of 1922 (Comp. St. § 5841h3).

A charge of violation of section 585, being Comp. St. Ann. Supp. 1923, § 5841h4, was not sustained, and is abandoned.

The libel against the cargo is for forfeiture of 3,500 cases, more or less, of distilled...
