This libel in admiralty is brought against the steamship Lillian, to recover damages for injuries received on January 8, 1923, by a longshoreman in the employ of the Portland Terminal Company, while acting as a coal trimmer on the ship. The cause of the injury was the fall of Curran into No. 5 hold of the steamship by reason of the breaking of No. 3 rung, or grabiron, of a ladder leading into the hold.
