In one of these cases the plaintiff in error, hereinafter called the defendant, was indicted for aiding and abetting the Barron Furniture Company in concealing, while a bankrupt, part of its assets from its trustee in bankruptcy; and in the other case he was indicted for having made a false oath to the schedules of the Barron Furniture Company, which, as its president, he subscribed and caused to be filed in the bankruptcy court.
