The Brown-Crummer Investment Company, hereinafter called plaintiff, brought this action against the Koss Construction Company, hereinafter called defendant, to recover upon a written contract the sum of $3,186.05. The plaintiff, a Kansas corporation, was engaged in the business of buying and selling municipal bonds. The defendant, an Iowa corporation, was engaged in the construction business.
