The Federal Trade Commission on May 29, 1922, served upon the American Tobacco Company, petitioner herein, and certain other corporations, partnerships, and individuals, a complaint charging them with unfair methods of competition in interstate commerce in violation of section 5 of the Act of Congress of September 26, 1914, 38 Stat. 717, c. 311 (Comp. St. § 8836e).
