The defendant, plaintiff in error, and two others, Rudolph J. Kreifels and James Griffin, were jointly indicted for conspiracy to violate those sections of the National Prohibition Act (Comp. St. Ann. Supp. 1923, § 10138¼ et seq.), which make it an offense to possess and transport intoxicating liquors.
