As a basis for the consideration of this appeal, it is to be remembered that any receiver is but the arm of the court, that the court can only be informed concerning the property in its charge by evidence, and that, in the appointment of Mr. Richards as receiver, the court yielded to the insistence (not too strong a word) of an overwhelming majority of the creditors....
