This is an action at law against the owners of a steamship, to recover damages for a personal injury suffered by plaintiff while he was employed as first assistant engineer on the ship during a voyage from Mobile to Port Barrios, Guatemala. Plaintiff was ordered by the chief engineer to make some necessary repairs to the main feed pump which supplied water to the boilers.
