Leo Koretz, the alleged bankrupt, was a resident of Chicago until December 1, 1923, when he absconded, leaving personal obligations of $2,000,000. A couple of days before his disappearance, he went to appellant's place of business, and asked to see some diamond bracelets. He selected two valuable ones to show to his wife, and stated that, if she selected one, he would return the other, and, if she did not like either, he would return...
