This is an action at law to recover for the loss of certain shipments of goods, made by the plaintiff over the lines of the defendant company, by a fire on its terminal at Camden, Me. The plaintiff is a corporation, manufacturing woolen goods at Camden, Me. The defendant is a common carrier by water, operating a fleet of passenger and freight steamers between the ports of New York and Boston, Portland, Rockland, Camden, Bangor and other ports...
