In the progress of this cause a large number of claims against the defendant were filed with the receivers. Many of them were for wages by former employés of the defendant. The property of defendant consists of about 10 miles of track, running southward from Peoria on the west side of the Illinois river, crossing the river upon its bridge at Pekin, as well as terminal facilities at Pekin, and switch tracks running to the various industries...
