Appeal from a verdict and judgment in the Supreme Court of the District, under which appellant was found guilty of murder and sentenced to suffer death.

Under the view we take of the case, the only assignment of error necessary to be noticed is that relating to the introduction by the government of the confession of the appellant, defendant below. The evidence, aside from the confession, tended to show that the defendant, then 17 years...
