Synthia McLain, the insured, sued Mid-Century Insurance Co. of Texas and its agent, Larry Chapman, after her car wreck with Becky Morey. McLain had uninsured/underinsured coverage under a policy written by Mid-Century and sold to her by Chapman. McLain's lawsuit was for contractual claims under the policy and for extra-contractual and bad faith claims. The trial court granted Mid-Century's motion to sever and ordered...
