Sonny Wilson, a Texas inmate, filed an in forma pauperis lawsuit against the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, complaining that the funds in his inmate trust account were improperly seized after a disciplinary action finding him liable for property damage. The TDCJ filed an amicus curiae advisory requesting dismissal of the suit. The trial court dismissed the suit as frivolous under Chapter 14 of the Civil...
