{¶1} Defendant-appellant, John Jude, Jr., appeals his seven-year sentence for Escape in the Lake County Court of Common Pleas. The issue before this court is whether the trial court abused its discretion in imposing the seven-year sentence by failing to consider the proportionality of the sentence and by improperly weighing the seriousness and mitigating factors.
