The defendant was charged with multiple offenses arising from an incident on April 20, 2016, during which she drove her motor vehicle into a crowd of people, killing one person and injuring others. At a pretrial suppression hearing, a police officer who responded to the scene testified that he and other officers knocked on the door of the nearby residence of the defendant's mother, which the defendant had entered after the incident...
