In June 2006, defendant and several friends broke down the door to an apartment and attacked the residents, injuring three individuals. As a result, defendant was indicted on two counts of burglary in the first degree and two counts of assault in the second degree. In June 2007, defendant pleaded guilty to a reduced count of burglary in the second degree in satisfaction of the indictment, in exchange for a sentence of 3½ years in prison followed...
