The plaintiff successfully moved pursuant to CPLR 4404 (a) to set aside a jury verdict in favor of her and against the defendants in the sum of only $80,000. After a new trial on the issue of damages, on June 19, 2009, the jury awarded the plaintiff the principal sums of $576,867 for past pain and suffering, $2,219,229 for future pain and suffering for a period of 28.2 years...
