Bradley Graham Cooper (Defendant) and Nancy Lynn Rentz Cooper (Ms. Cooper) were married in October 2000, and they moved to Cary from Canada in January 2001. They had two daughters (the daughters). Defendant worked for Cisco Systems, Inc. (Cisco). By 2008, Defendant's marriage to Ms. Cooper was in difficulty and, by April 2008, Ms. Cooper had hired a family law attorney and planned to move out of the marital home.
