Defendant Johnny Henry Peterson, Jr. appeals his convictions for assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury ("AWDWISI") and two counts of possession of stolen firearms. Defendant was originally indicted for assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury ("AWDWIKISI"). On appeal, defendant primarily contends the trial court erred in joining for trial that charge with the charges of possession of stolen firearms....
