On October 29, 2007, Baystate Properties, LLC ("Baystate"), appellee, filed a complaint in the Circuit Court for Baltimore County against Vincent Serio, appellant, who is the sole member of Serio Investments, LLC ("Serio Investments"). Baystate sought to hold Serio personally liable for amounts due to Baystate under a contract with Serio Investments. Serio engaged Shanell Harleston as counsel for the litigation, but about eight weeks before the trial date...
