On 9 June 2009, the state charged the defendant, Earl S. Vincent, III ("Vincent") by bill of information with one count of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, a violation of La. R.S. 14:68.4. At his arraignment on 16 June 2009, Vincent pled not guilty. Following a two-day trial, a six-member jury found the defendant guilty of attempted unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. On 16 December 2009, the court adjudged Vincent to be a fourth felony...
