This criminal appeal by Jarvis Edwards arises from the First Judicial District Court, Parish of Caddo, State of Louisiana. Following a bench trial Edwards was convicted of forcible rape, a violation of La. R.S. 14:42.1. Thereafter, he was charged by bill of information as a third felony offender.
