Brandon Brown appeals his conviction for aggravated battery with a deadly weapon in violation of section 784.045(1)(a)2., Florida Statutes. He used two hollow, flimsy, plastic broomsticks as the alleged "deadly weapon." The specific issue we must resolve is whether the broomsticks used by Brown are "deadly weapons" under this statute.
