The State appeals the sentence imposed on Bradley James Vanderhoff after he entered an open no contest plea to three counts of attempted murder of a law enforcement officer. The State argues that the trial court erred by imposing downward departure sentences and by failing to apply the twenty-year minimum mandatory prison sentence required by the 10/20/Life statute, section 775.087(2), Florida Statutes (2005).
